STOP THE SUICIDES

There is a few simple requirements that could greatly decrease the horrendious depression taking over our good men on Barrow Island. All we ask for is for these multi billion dollar companies to stop and think for a minute! Not about the money in their pockets at the expence of their wokers well fair and now concerning number of deaths, these deaths of which are not saftey related but due to serious depression that is becoming much to common on Barrow Island. Some of the things that could be put in place are as follows. Better communication for workers to speak with their loved ones, sometimes a phone conversation with your wife or your children could keep you from feeling like you have nothing atleast once a night! Less time away from your loved ones, some of these men spend a gruling 26 days away from home and are pushed into 13/14 hour long hard days work, yes they have agreed to do this, but I know none of them expected it to start taking lives, When it comes down to money or your life a rational person would choose life... But something is wrong, and something is happening up on Barrow Island now 9 suicides in a 12 month period, These are not people that have suffered a history of mental disturbances either, this are tough burley men concerned with offering the best life possible for their familes. As this kond of a man, one had to understand that admitting to others that he is feeling sad and down, is never going to be an easy or taken to with enthusiasic approach. Thus is why the people who are in charge have to put certian realistic actions into place that will help stop these unnessisary deaths all we ask for is 6 DAYS less away from loved ones, BETTER COMMUNICATIONS TO HOME, and the muti billion dollar companies to think and care about their workers well being and feelings. Without workers, nothing happens but there is new laws in place so our men cannot strike against unfair work enviornments, so they are liturally stuck in what has been refered to as a death trap, they are stuck because they want to provide for their loved ones, and the companies have shown they are willing to see good men kill themselves and still have not done these simple things to help ensure their lives? This is not fair, I am a miners wife and I hear my man saying his life is worthless and fighting for his rights and getting fined thousands of dollars for speaking for general human rights. This has to stop please sign this petition I beg of you
