This petition is to request a sidewalk along Cheats Road.

We need to take the steps to make the entry to Ruishton village, help make Cheats road the safest it can be for every person.

Requesting pavements upon the village entry should be made mandatory. This is for the safety of the community and innocent pedestrians who walk along the Cheats Road. As there are many homes, families with children or people riding bikes who would benefit from the use of a sidewalk.
Also the bus services, to be improved from Ruishton village to Taunton town centre as buses have been minimized therefore Cheats Road has become increasingly busier with pedestrians whom unfortunately have no choice other than to walk alongside traffic to get to the park & Ride.
The vast majority of pedestrians those of us who do not drive, some not by choice have to use Cheats Road are pensioners and people with children journeying to and from the village school. They are in danger, especially when the seasons change i.e. heavy rain and the ice or snow experienced later on in the year.
Please consider our petition. We would like to request a bill to begin this process of development.
