Central European forest cat is much larger than the domestic cat or steppe has a higher fur. In appearance very similar to the domestic cat, but differs from it in larger size and color - multiple horizontal stripes across the tail. In Scotland there is a threat to the population of Central European forest cat because of interbreeding with feral domestic cats. But the eastern population of the Ukraine, Moldavia, in the Carpathians and the Caucasus almost do not interbreed with domestic cats. It is not known exactly how the cross affects the substitution of wild cats. Perhaps the "purebred" average European wildcats may disappear altogether. It is important to create protected areas where it will be kept clean look.
