Release This Dog Into A Safe Experienced Rescue NOT send them to death.

We want to release a Siberian Husky that is held by Birmingham Dogs Home. The dog was in good condition but fearful when first collected. When the dog was taken to the dogs home, the dog showed fearful signs of people that have lead to the Dogs Home saying that the dog will be put to sleep on Monday. We have breed specific rescues here with a door open and experienced behaviorists that have offered to take on the dog and give them a chance. The owner is to blame in this instance, they have either lost them and not tried to find them or can't find them, and because of this, the dogs home are condemning the dog to death. They are happy to release the dog to the original owner, yet they will not let an experienced rescue and behaviorist work with this dog, where we can potentially get the dog home or get them prepared to be rehomed. Dogs behave differently depending on the different environments they're in, and huskies are well known for not coping well with kenneled environments. We are prepared to protest to save the life of this dog. Why should he die when we have a safe place? What is the difference between relinquishing to the original owner or handing over to experienced? Nothing besides one that is being blocked is bringing this dog the unnecessary loss of it's life.

We want the dog released into rescue hands for behavioral help in an experienced fosterer environment.

Please release this dog into the hands of a breed specific rescue who can work with this dog in a fosterer enviornment which is more stable for the Siberian Husky and understand that this dog may not be reacting normally due to the circumstances of it's recent trauma. If you can release the dog to the owner, why not to a safe experienced rescue with behaviorists that can help the dog?
