Stop bias social work licensing practice. Protect culturally competent services for minorities.

About 60% of Latino Social Workers are unlicensed, issue that affects other minority communities. . If the law is implemented at its sunset in 2018 the erosion in the service safety net will be unprecedented not to mention the issue of family destabilization.
The legislature must: grandparent senior, well qualified social workers with an MSW certification, and provide temporary exempt status to those in exam readiness training. The financial burden for social workers to pay continued education and licensing readiness training are barriers often precluding them from achieving licensing status. Therefore is imperative to allocate financial resources that would take care of the financial problem.
