People are just walking toward vehicles while they are in motion crossing the street not caring if they are going to get accidently hit.
Drivers even when having the green light are at fault for accidently striking a person because people have the right of way, though people dont care to look crossing streets and or they know they have the right away and force you to stop so they can walk even when they do not have the walk signal!. Why cant there be a RED SIGNAL LIGHT for ONE minute on Both Sides of Street and let people walk! MAKE BOTH SIDES OF STREET SIGNAL CARS STOP FOR ONE MINUTE. Make it against the law to walk while motorist have the Green light. Motorist should be able to turn down blocks Safely without striking a pedestrian. Want to save lives?? Slow down Or ticket? This is making more traffic! MANHATTAN NY streets are Grid Lock from too many people walking and not letting cars go. ONE CAR EVERY LIGHT proceeding through basically forcing themselves and wind up when its a red light to get one or two cars to turn, while theres many others that need to turn as well. IF THE STREETS ARE TOO LONG to walk to corner in order to cross at cross walk make a slow down sign pedestrian crossing and add a cross walk in middle of block and allow crossing there. Also Bicyclists lanes on street? NO! PUT THEM ON SIDE WALKS! where people can see them coming and move over. Get them off the streets BICYCLISTS NEVER FOLLOW TRAFFIC LAWS! One minute they ride against traffic next they cut vehicles off, they belong on side walk! Much more space! They the population in NYC is overgrowth! Too many cars on the road for I think removing lanes and parking space for bicycles is outrageous! Growing up I was always told to stay off the streets cars will run you over! Save a life and make streets safer! Give tickets to Jay walkers and bicyclists who do not obey the law, not only motorist! The side walk is safer for the both, keep them there!
