Make Canada become a Republic in the 21st century

Canada should become a republic having our own senate because we need to forge our own destiny as a country and in North America. When the British founded Canada in the mid 18th century after America gained indepence in 1776 from them, they looked north to colonize. Canada gained indepence in 1867, but we still have Queen Elizabeth as our head of state in the 21st century. Some of us like myself, want to be a republic having our own queen or senate. This must be passed on to the parliment in Ottawa so my vision could be realised in the present.
