Petition Against Dog Abuse In India

On Wednesday morning, a sick stray dog who was being nursed by an activist in CBD Belapur, was found badly injured and thrown into an open drain in sector 8A.

"For the past few days, I was taking care of this particular stray. However, today, I was shocked to see that the dog was badly beaten up and lying in the drain. We had to remove him from there for further treatment," said activist Aditi Lahiri, who suspects some local animal haters to be behind this dastardly act.

The dog eventually succumbed to his injuries. "It is pathetic to see so many cases of animal cruelty in places where 'educated', people live,'' she added.
