Help to change our community

In my neighborhood there are a lot of homeless people and drug addicts. They stand and lay around harrassing people for money. In front of the Far Rockaway train stations, local business and small local sitting areas they tend to make there resting place. In the winter time they sleep in staircases of residential buildings to avoid being in the cold. There are people who pay a lot of money in the neighborhood for their place of living or their business. It's uncomfortable and embarrassing to the people of the community. Like myself I'm sure that there are other people that feels the same way and wants change in our community.

For a solution I feel that our local authority police should round them up and send them to the central booking temporarily. Although it's not the most pleasant place they can be provided with a roof and a meal. Over time I would hope that the senators of Queens can a provide a shelter for them and programs for the drug addicts to get better over time that way they can live like normal civilians at some point.
