Justice for Michael Fletcher

Michael Fletcher has been in prison for 17 years  for a crime he did not commit.

Michael Fletcher was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of his wife.

REASONABLE DOUBT?

They had no solid evidence, in an interview on 20/20, the jury stated that they didn't believe much of the evidence against Fletcher.

They also thought that the prosecution did a weak job proving he was even in the room,

They distrusted or out right disliked many of the prosecutions witnesses.

That thought some of the witnesses for the prosecution were incompetent and suspected others of lying.

They disagreed with prosecutions version of the motive that Fletcher had killed his wife.

They agreed with defenses witnesses on the location of the accident.

Experts and others had said that the scenario prosecutors presented was a violation of the laws of physics, and the jury, particularly the three engineers agreed with them.

The mistakes in his trial are numerous, and crucial evidence that was ignored or mishandled is shocking .

This year they had the opportunity to correct this travesty of justice by granting his parole.  This model prisoner with an impeccable work record was denied parole.

Thank you so much.

Make the media aware that this issue is newsworthy, and will not be forgotten as long as an innocent man remains imprisoned !

Each and every one of us have the responsibility to stand up and protect each other from injustices within our legal system. It could happen to any one of us. Stop the media from sensationalizing tragedies at the expense of others, and elected officials who are looking for a star in the cap of their career. Justice should never fall in the hands of those who are only looking for votes and the key to the city, never caring about the innocent lives that hang in the balance.
