Tell Utah Gov. Gary Herbert polygamy doesn’t excuse child abuse or pedophilia!

We urge Utah residents to petition their lawmakers to take immediate action by thoroughly combing through the evidence and conducting a full unilateral, non-partisan investigation We call all residents to act now to challenge and change unjust laws and give these children and teens the same civil rights and protection of any American child regardless of religious faith or cultural background. We, with this petition, assert that sexual abuse of any kind cannot and will not ever be tolerated by us, the people of The State of Utah and the United States!
Surely, the Governor and his staff are aware of the show and how it is exposing the abuse. These children and teens are trapped and suicidal. If they dare risk the attempt to get all the way to the highway and off the compound grounds, they will get caught and returned for more detention and beatings, usually meted out by one of their so-called "fathers", the King-ston brothers. We are imploring and unwavering in demanding that the State of Utah, step in immediately and do something to remove these oppressive cult religions within it's borders. We standby our belief that religious belief can never be used as an excuse to commit abuse of any kind. We stand firm to expose the problem and ac-knowledge the terrifying severity of these crimes and to start the hard work to reverse and remove them. The problem is not going away cannot be swept under the rug any longer!
I am asking you, the people, to sign this petition so we can all put pressure on a very indifferent, dispassionate, aloof, blinded state government, unwilling to prosecute pe-dophiles and dictators of a cult that is mistreating their own youth & demand that the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of this State of Utah start communicating with the American people and become accountable for these atrocities being committed on their home turf.

Dear Mr. Governor and Lieut. Governor:
As you are likely aware, the rise in visibility of the new television documentary series Escaping Polygamy on {Name of Network] has brought to light some ostensibly quite indisputably disturbing sexually abusive and, moreover irrefutably illegal practices of Utah’s “polygamous Mormon sect”known as The Order.
According to [Fill in data report here], the children are all from unmarried mothers whom the Kingston Brothers call "spiritual or celestial wives". The brothers have between 300 and 400 children. The young boys are eliminated and thrown off the compound and the girls are left to be sex slaves to the 40-60-year old men are making sex slaves out of the teen girls—many of whom are trapped and suicidal while held hostage by these brothers.
As stated in the attached petition, on the show,Utah police are all but ignoring the situation and are seemingly being scared off by the brothers and their extensive and obfuscating security apparatus. Local law enforcement are showing an unwillingness to pursue any investigation. We at [Organization] affirm in a united voice that serious abuses such as physical violence against minors, rape, enslavement, and any comparable crimes thereof cannot be ignored lest they be allowed to continue in horrific fashion.
We the people of Utah, and of United States of America, by way of the attached petition, are deeply imploring you and the proper government bodies of State of Utah to investigate any and all instances such as these incidents ostensibly constitute heinous crimes against human beings being held against their will respectively and cannot be allowed to continue and will not be tolerated in the name freedom and human rights in any form regardless of religious affiliation.
While we believe in freedom of faith and religious belief, we also believe firmly that freedom of speech should never exempt persons from personal responsibility to treat their fellow human beings with honor, respect, and the common decency that is at the core of the human contract.
We hereby resolve that you hear our petition as a collective railing against injustice and abuse of human beings. We ask that you take a comprehensive look at 100% of the evidence as it presents itself to you as we believe there to be plenty of actionable evidence of wrongdoing.
We ask that you pursue our request in earnest so that no human being Will be allowed to abuse another other in the name of religious freedom.
