Demand Hazleton Area school district to get rid of their discriminating dress code policy

  • by: Tracey Leonard
  • recipient: Hazleton Area school district and board members

This issue is important for the following reasons: it is very discriminating against the children who are not the perfect size. There is no reason why parents should have to spend twice as much money on two separate types of clothing , one for in school and one for out of school(home). The department stores and even on line does not always have the size or style that you may need. Children should be comfortable in what they are wearing, which would promote a better learning atmosphere. Why does the school board want our children to all dress alike? This is America and it is a public school. If the district wants our children in uniforms, then the district should pay for them. If you agree with this then you should sign and come to the school board meeting on February 25, 2016 at the career center at 7pm.
