We were told by the experts that the Coyotes would return to their natural habitat near the Spillway when the weather gets colder. However, over the past two weeks there have been multiple attacks on our pets, sightings of coyotes and even a sighting of a mother coyote with a couple of pups in tow. Carcasses have been found. Our community is tired of living in fear of our pets being attacked and maybe even our ourselves or our children. In the past, the response time for Animal Control to arrive to help has been too long or too late. We need solutions, we need community action and we need peace of mind. We are not accepting that nothing else can be done other than hazing, lids on trash cans and keeping pets inside at night. They still wander our neighborhood.
