Domestic violience is an epedemic plaguing the nation and ruining families. As a kid i didnt fully understand as me and my mother enjoyed the comfortability of of a domestic violence shelter. From the lack of knowledge when i grew older i fell into simular peatterns, however since i am male i fell under the perpertrator catagorey.
I graduated a 28 week batterers intervention class, and I understand the systematic flaws that jeopardize the welfare of the perpetrators. I advocate for the perpetrators, understanding how being incarcerated, unfairly jeopardize ones welfare. this is an opportunity to form and endorse policy that force both parties to endure BIP, COURT MONITORING, AND BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION. furthermore, they will be equally about housing, and health programs.
K2S is a non profit organization recognizing 2 chance opportunities for men like me, to restabilize thier welfare and to truly get a fresh start. my healt and housing program, breaks men from thier human dependency, and enters them into a complicated relationship with self. i am looking to partner with the various agencys already established and start a trend of empowerment. the innefective revolving door of the criminal justice system only made me more dependent.
