Stop Mislabeling Faux Fur!

Animal lovers buy faux-fur clothing in hopes of getting the comfort, warmth and fashionable looks of fur without the cruelty. Unfortunately, a recent investigation of NYC's Century 21 retail store revealed real fur items labeled as "faux fur." Items sold in Century 21's online store were also mislabeled.

Most of the fur comes from China and is from raccoon dogs. Rabbit, dog and cat fur is also found in "faux fur" or unlabeled items. Manufacturers know Americans are less likely to buy fur that comes from these animals, so they simply lie.

Shocking videos have demonstrated how animals are abused in the fur trade. It is unacceptable to mislabel fur items so that compassionate consumers continue to support these disgusting practices. Please sign the petition to urge U.S. legislators to crack down on fur mislabeling!

Dear U.S. Legislators,

Shocking videos demonstrate how animals are abused in the fur trade. It is unacceptable to mislabel fur items so that compassionate consumers continue to support these disgusting practices. We respectfully urge you to enforce laws against mislabeling fur and punish merchants to the fullest extent of a law to prevent scandals like this in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
