Orrin Hatch: Stop Avoiding Town Halls!

Constituents in Utah want Orrin Hatch to hold a town hall. Unsurprisingly, he is ignoring us.

Utahns are increasingly concerned with the direction of the Trump presidency. Yet Orrin Hatch has continually done exactly what the President wants him to do. Recently, Hatch said, "Give this president a chance. .... He's doing things, without any help from the other side, that just need to be done."

Utahns are watching our legislators with a closer eye than ever, and recent town halls have been so packed that many residents haven't even been able to get a seat. GOP Representative Jason Chaffetz was met with criticism and probbing questions from his constituents just a few weeks ago. But rather than accept the critiques and address the issues important to Utahns, Chaffetz dismissed them.

Senator Hatch is avoiding a town hall because he is afraid that he will also be asked hard-to-answer questions by his constituents, but Utahns deserve accountability. We deserve the chance to talk to him face-to-face about the issues that matter most to us.

Being a leader of the majority party in the Senate does not exempt you from listening to your constituents. Being the GOP's longest serving senator does not mean that you can ignore critiques from the people who voted for you.  Sign this petition now to demand that Senator Orrin Hatch schedule a town hall now!

Utahns are increasingly concerned with the direction of the Trump presidency. Yet Orrin Hatch has continually acted as, at best, a Trump apologist, and at worst, a Trump cheerleader. Recently, Hatch said, "Give this president a chance. .... He's doing things, without any help from the other side, that just need to be done."
