background: BRENHAM (April 17, 2015) A Washington County veterinarian is at the center of a social media firestorm, has lost her job, and could face charges, after bragging about killing a cat with a bow and arrow.

Dr. Kristen Lindsey, DVM, posted a picture on her Facebook page of her holding an arrow that is sticking through the head of a dead cat.

The post reads “My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it's head! Vet of the year award ... Gladly accepted."

The post quickly went viral and prompted numerous calls to the Brenham Police Department and Washington County Animal Control.

Brenham police say the cat was shot in Austin County.

on facebook, Dr. Kristen Lindsey, DVM there are screen captures of her friend and fellow veterinarian Dr. Keri Elizabeth Kamp DVM liking and approving and commenting on Dr. Linsey's senseless cruelty towards Tiger, a pet cat. Dr. Kemp's facebook profile has since been deleted. Some screen captures of Dr. Kemp's liking and approving on facebook of Dr. Lindsey are still saved. I believe she is in violation to the code of ethics, in expressing approval to her friend's cruelty towards animals, and must be held accountable.

she needs to also be stripped of her license. Dr. Keri Camp grew up in Madison, MS and has been involved in equine veterinary medicine since high school. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University. After graduating veterinary school, Keri completed a rotating equine internship at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford, TX, where she gained experience in lameness, surgery, medicine, and reproduction. Keri’s professional interests include reproduction, neonatology, diagnostic ultrasound, and lameness in the Western performance horse. Keri is married to Kevin Camp, who is a ranch hand, and they currently have two dogs: Buford, a boxer, and Josie, a Hangin’ Tree cattle dog. They also own a Quarter Horse mare, Ladybug, who is used on the ranch.
