Change & put on 2016 ballot to vote the Pennsylvania Workman comp. Law to Include Pain and Suffering

  • by: Debora Daniels
  • recipient: Corporate Giants and Congress to change the workman comp law for the State of Pennsylvania

All persons who work in the state of Pennsylvania ONLY have as their compensation for being injured on the job is loss of wages through workman's comp. Most people who work in Pennsylvania who have been injured on the job, workman's comp wants them to return to work per the doctor orders, who's doctor? The employer's doctor. The employee does not have a chance. They are returned to work even if their health has not improved. Most people who work these minimum wage jobs do not have the resources to fight a corporate giant and others, they need this law changed so that these Corporate Giants must take care to treat their employees like they are human beings. I have personally witnessed injured employees going in for mediation with their employer's, these people look so dejected, and it is evident that they are poor people and have no resources to hold out for a better settlement. These corporate Giants represented by their high powered lawyers come in and make these rediculous offers, and if they increase their offers they say that your injury is only worth one year's salary, the doctor says you should be able to return to work. Others who look completely ruined and would never be able to work again they only get 3 years of income. Employees should be able to say when I get better I would never be the same again and can never do the work that i did before so i will not work again and save the my health for myself and my family, they should be compensated accordingly. My God this is criminal that these corporate Giants can take advantage of these people in this way. We are people not animals!!! So help me to level the playing field for the minimum wage employee. Thank You so much for your support!!
