Fire Officer Who Slit a Dog's Throat!

We've already noticed a sad trend of officers shooting family dogs in supposed self defense, but this sad story is even worse.

A 7-year-old shar-pei dog named Nala went missing from her Baltimore home in Saturday. While on the streets, she was hungry and scared, and bit a woman on the hand. The woman is fine, but someone called the police to report the dog bite.

Police restrained the dog and Officer Jeffrey Bolger cut Nala's throat with a knife, killing her. It is against protocol to use such brutality against a contained dog, and all the other officers were disgusted with Bolger's actions. Before killing the dog, Bolger was overheard saying, "I'm going to get this (expletive) thing," according to police documents. Nala's owner is, of course, devastated.

Bolger has been charged and suspended without pay, but he needs to be permanently fired after this incident. To show such excessive brutality against a contained animal speaks volumes about his lack of mental stability and poor judgement. Please sign the petition to fire this officer!

We, the undersigned, are concerned about Officer Jeffrey Bolger's actions in slitting the throat of a shar-pei dog named Nala after a minor dog bite incident.

As we understand, a 7-year-old shar-pei dog named Nala went missing from her Baltimore home in Saturday. While on the streets, she was hungry and scared, and bit a woman on the hand. The woman is fine, but someone called the police to report the dog bite. Shortly thereafter, police restrained the dog and Bolger slit its throat with a knife, ending its life.

We know that Bolger has been charged and suspended without pay, but we believe that he needs to be permanently fired after this incident. To show such excessive brutality against a contained animal speaks volumes about his lack of mental stability and poor judgement. We respectfully urge you to fire Officer Jeffrey Bolger so he never again has the opportunity to abuse his authority and force. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
