Revoke Or Revise The No Carry Skate/Longboard Protocol

There is a new protocol at MACCS that began on Thursday, March 12th 2015, that forbids: the carrying of Skate/Longboards in the hallways, and the possession of Skate/Longboards in class. Those with Skate/Longboards must now leave them in the front office. This protocol has come about because of a few individuals and their motives leading them to have ridden their Skate/Longboards in the hallways.

A concerning factor of this new protocol is that the glass doors and walls of the front office allow for a visual of these boards. Except for two cameras and the presence of two specific people at the front office, there are no more deterrents from stopping some random person with no affiliations and/or connects with anyone at the school from walking in with their head down while no one is present at the front office. If someone were to steal one it would not become apparent to the two people at the front office until the owner would have said something because there is no direct visual of the boards from the two people at the front office whilst sitting at their specified desks.

There is also no current system in place that regulates the inventory of the boards so there are not even deterrents to a person that goes to MACCS from just walking off with a board, except for the cameras. But what if someone at school were to just walk off with one and never show up again, maybe they were even withdrawing from the school and just took one with them.

This protocol affects those who are responsible and mature with their boards and have not ridden their boards inside any of the buildings and can place their boards in places that do not interfere with common walk/pathways in the classroom.
I suggest to either revoke this protocol completely or revise it as a compromise. As a compromise the following parameters are suggested: (If someone is caught from a direct visual in a forward or backwards motion whilst being atop of a board extending 12 Inches inside of any of the buildings)

-3 Strike Rule, for each time someone is caught they are given a single strike. Once the third strike is given they must comply and leave their board in the front office for the rest of the semester. A student can be given 3 Strikes a semester, and the first day of that new semester they start anew, allowing them to redeem themselves.

-Skate/Longboards are to be held in the supply closet next to the office of Patrick Kelly, and the owners must get a copy of their student ID and place it on their board(s) before turning it into a designated Staff member. (Said Staff Member is chosen by the Staff by whichever means they so choose.) To redeem their board they must show a matching ID to that of the board and a description of what it looks like, so that Staff Member does not have to waste their time looking through the boards.
To avoid infringement of that staff members valuable time, we suggest a 15 minute period before Advisory, from 7:55 a.m - 8:10 a.m to collect boards. Those who do not come to school on time or do not show for all times listed, are to ask politely of a Staff Member to place their board in said closet (Staff Members to ask are to be those who are not engaged in lecturing and/or teaching a class.)
During lunch, we suggest a five minute period to dispense boards from 11:38 a.m - 11:43 a.m and a five minute period at 12:05 p.m - 12:10 p.m to recall boards. Then after school at 3:30 p.m - 3:37 p.m

-Designated Board Areas, these are areas are within each class room, set by that individual teacher, where Skate/Longboards can be placed that are out of walk/pathways so that no one would trip over them

By the protocol compromising the security of our Skate/Longboards by putting them in the clear visuals of random people passing by and giving us no other alternatives then the school hereby takes responsibility of said boards whilst being in the front office and thus if any boards are stolen the school must pay reprimands with equal or greater value of that board.
