Tell Pepsi to Stop Sponsoring Big Cat Exploitation

  • by: Animal Advocates
  • recipient: PepsiCo Americas Beverages- CEO Albert P. Carey, King Richard's Faire

For more than 27 years, a South Carolina facility has been taking big cats (lions, tigers and ligers) to Carver, Massachuttes for a Renaissance festival, the King Richard's Faire. The Faire opened Sept. 1st and runs for 8 weekends until October 21st.

The big cats will be forced to perform in a show 3 times a day and be on display the rest of the time.

The owner of the big cats, Bhagavan "Doc" Antle, operates two facilities in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he regularly breeds tiger cubs in order to use them to make money at these locations. Antle has decades of animal care citations, violations and investigations dating all the way back to 1989.

Pepsi is one of the sponsors of King Richards Faire in Massachettes. Tell Pepsi  and the Faire that big cats do not belong in circus acts or shows, should not be bred and used for entertainment, and should not be forced to travel the country simply so exhibitors can make money from them. The time has come to end the exploitation of big cats and their cubs.
