Hedgehog is night animal which is not often to be seen on daytime. In Helsinki; when I lived there; are many areas with gardens and the Hedgehog is living in there. Hedgehog has become an urban ”cowboy” because when I gave to it something what is good for it, it sniffled and it didn't want it...so I gave it a part of grill sausage and it was pleased and eat that.
Ususally it eat insect and worms and that kind of food. The hedgehog is living alone the most part of it's life, only on heat time they are together, the male and female.
The hedhog is the most of it's time in the nest. In winter it is in torpor.
The Hedgehog is coming always back where it has feeded. Don't give it milk which is usual what people give because it get stomack sick. Don't give it sausage either, that was a test we did, but if you have fish or catfood they may be good for them even the cat don't like that.
The best way to feed them is to give them food when asked for like after winter and the torpor as well in autumn when they collect food for the long winter time when it sleep.
