STOP the sale of Ku-ring-gai’s Community Land and Parks

With sales across right across Ku-ring-gai community - Roseville, Gordon, Turramurra, St Ives, Wahroonga, Killara and Roseville Chase are all on Ku-ring-gai council's hit list (for a list read to the end of this page).

Council continues to sell off rare community land and parks across Ku-ring-gai to developers to fund its overspending. Our community land and parks provide immeasurable value across generations. The reckless fire-sale of our public assets is an incredibly short-sighted approach that leaves all Ku-ring-gai residents worse off.  With the sale of each additional piece of community land we are quickly losing our green space, sanctuaries for native wildlife and majestic old gum trees.  If Ku-ring-gai is truly 'Sydney's Green Heart' these public assets must be preserved and not sold off for development and quick profit.

Too frequently local residents are forced to band together to fight off these council sales, protect the environment and save their neighbourhoods and communities.

What is next on the Ku-ring-gai chopping block?

• Bates Park (97 Babbage Road) Roseville Chase will be sold and cleared of its mature blue gums, native vegetation and resident wildlife. The reserve has just been reclassified from park and part of biodiversity corridor to 'operational land' to be sold for development.

Please sign this petition to let Ku-ring-gai council know you are against the disposal of community land and parks and the upcoming sale of Bates Park (97 Babbage Road) Roseville Chase.

What can I do?
