Demand that DODGE COUNTY HOSPITAL be held accountable for Kopi Jr wrongful death!

Kopi Chapman Jr was a twenty-five year old young black man. He was born and raised in Melbourne FL but currently resided in Eastman, Ga. Kopi was loveable and would often keep everyone around him laughing and smiling to keep from crying hiself. He battled depression but found God and fought the battle hard, but as we know the enemy is steadily attacking our young men through drugs ,music and everything else. August 15th 2017, Kopi was in good spirits he woke up fed his son called a couple family members as usual and started his day to get ready for work. For what ever reason this day Kopi decided to purchase what he thought and knew to be the narcotic Percocet, sadly they were the FAKE drugs that's sent his body into shock almost instantly after only swallowing two.His Child's grandmother found him on the floor stretched out foaming at the mouth and when the ambulance arrived around 7:30pm the pronounced him dead, His son's grandmother wouldn't take NO for an answer she began to tell them "You guys haven't even tried, you haven't even tried" the EMTS came and gave him not one but two Epi-Pens of NORCAN where he arose from the dead, they transported him to the hospital and instructed my mother to follow in her own car, when Kopi arrived the only medical attention he received was a CT SCAN and minimal monitoring of vitals, he was never asked did he purposely harm him self or if that was on his mind, when I spoke with my sons father I could barely understand the information he was giving me all he was saying was "Thank you Heavenly father for another chance" and after just a matter of TWO SHORT HOURS he was released to DODGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S Department where he was investigated and harrased about where he got the pills from , they took him straight from the hospital,he sat in the police station clearly not in his right state of mind in a hospital gown and tried to make sense to the detectives about what happened, He received no paper work nor any instructions on how to follow up with the proper care, Kopi Chapman jr was sent home to DIE and he died later on that night. He was found in a praying position, on bended knees. DODGE COUNTY HOSPITAL NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! There are certain protocols that should have been followed that simply were neglected. The physicians down to the LPN or RN need to be held accountable for releasing him without proper evaluation. It wouldn't matter if he was doing drugs at this time it wasn't their responsibility to judge him, it doesn't matter if he was a young black male or a young white male , DODGE COUNTY HOSPITAL only responsibility they had was to do their job DESPITE how they felt about the situation. His family needs answers, his children need answers. WHY? why was he released without even receiving a full set of vitals? The system to PROTECT AND SERVE to HELP all of those in need regardless of race, size, age or medical insurance was involved or not, he did not have proper medical insurance but does that mean he deserved to die? This could be anybodys CHILD this could happen to anyone, Kopi was not trying to self harm himself but DODGE COUNTY HOSPITAL released him into police custody and police custody sent him home to die. There will be NO PEACE, until there is JUSTICE. Please spread the word don't not let Kopi Chapman Jr become simply another statistic at the hands of improper, selfish and neglectful medical attention. HIS LIFE MATTERED, when you go to the hospital you expect help , you expect to be treated for your illness to the best of their ability because that is thieir JOB! You put your trust in these medical professionals knowing that they will do all they can do to insure your medical safety. They simply just did not care and they need to be held accountable his death could have been prevented had he been in the hospital for just a few more hours they could have caught his heart rate , they could have recognized that his body was in distress, he should have been monitored for just being given NORCAN only, but he wasnt. It takes more than two hours to sign him in to the computer he never made it past the emergency room, he wasn't being treated like he just escaped death he was being treated and judged like a typical drug user and he was SOOOOO much more than that! Please SHARE let this be heard NATIONWIDE let everyone be aware that not only do they have to fear outsiders they have to fear those who took an oath to help and protect no matter the circumstance! SHARE SHARE SHARE sign please don't let his name go in vain!!!
