People should sign this petition due to the negative effects that GMOs (Gentically Modified Organisms) have on humans. We should know, as Americans, what we are eating.
The reason as to why Americans should know what they are eating and what products have GMOs is because of studies tested on rats and the effects on them when put on a "GM (gentically modifed) Diet." The test showed that rats developed mammary tumors and severe liver and kidney damage as early as four months in males and seven months in females. Now imagine when you are eating foods that cause this to rats.
We MUST know what we are eating. Monsanto has stated that "The GM Foods and GM Hormones are not harmful but beneficial to the human body." If that is true then why do they have a problem labeling their products and why are GM Products banned in the EU (Eurpoean Union) and Canada and why does Monsanto ONLY feed their employees ORGANIC foods and not GM foods.
Please people of Connecticut, you MUST know what you are eating and it is unlawful that we do not know what we are eating. Signing this Petition will enlighten the human population and will put an end to the "soft killing" of the American population.
