Zofia Cisowski, Mother of Late Robert Dziekanski

JUSTICE FOR MOTHER OF LATE ROBERT DZIEKANSKI

Target:
Provincial Government of British Columbia
Sponsored by:

To: The Honourable Gordon Campbell,
       Premier of British Columbia;
       The Honourable Michael de Jong,

       Attorney General for British Columbia

We the undersigned do hereby call upon, the Honourable Gordon Campbell, Premier of British Columbia, and the Honourable Michael de Jong, Attorney General for British Columbia, to re-open the investigation into the death of Robert Dziekanski, involving the 4 RCMP officers at Vancouver International Airport.
We demand that an Independent Special Prosecutor be appointed to determine the matter in accordance with the Criminal Code of Canada.
We strongly believe that the previous RCMP investigation and Criminal Justice Branch Report was deficient and focused on finding evidence, which would blame the victim, Mr. Dziekanski.
It is time to stop blaming the victim and take an unbiased and independent look at all evidence.
We believe public confidence in the administration and repute of justice has been seriously undermined.
Justice must not only be done, but be seen to be done, on behalf of Zofia Cisowski and all Canadians.

It seems like the taser has become the 'solve-any-problem' tool for dumbass members of the police... There's basically zero consequences when they misuse it and wind up injuring or killing people. So why should they change the policy? It's pretty clear they're not in it to actually serve or protect.

I think the police regards the taser gun as an all in one cure machine. Oooh you're choking? Let's see if this helps! Having a seizure? Let's counter seizure that! A DEAD BODY??!! WELL 1-2-3 CHARGE THAT BITCH!!

This is an embarressment to all Canadians, we all should be ashamed of the Canadian System. The RCMPs in this case should be all sentenced to life in prison.

im so outraged and heart brocken at the same time . I work in the industy and 10 hours in a secured area at the day in time with no one noticing or caring is unacceptable! everyone working that day is at fault who saw this man . Someone just needed to check his passport and find out what country he was from call the 800 number that airlines use for a speaker to help .But because no one cared or did their job in the end the authorities used their power and not their heads AGAIN!! and a man was killed !!! very very sad and im so sorry.

Absolutely disguisting! I agree with the recent findings by Kennedy. Completely out of line, everything was done entirely wrong, and these RCMP "officers of the law" killed a man. End of story. THEY need to admit their guilt and let justice be served. Otherwise, I have lost complete and total faith in the RCMP. This is just wrong, beyond a simple mistake. What's next? Are they gonna shoot someone with a speeding ticket when they reach for their registration? "The man was clearly reaching for a gun!" they'll say. Yea right. This was wrong, disgraceful, sick, heartbreaking, tragic, completely unnecessary, and unjustified! His search for a better life ended up killing him in the airport of his new found country. To his mother, I am deeply sympathetic and feel for the loss of your loved son. May justice be served to the RCMP officers involved! On a side note.. how does the one officer think he can sue CBC for airing the story, causing him embarressment and ridicule? He should be behind bars! If he wins this case he will have profitted off murdering someone. Wrong!! RIP Robert May the lord have mercy on your killer's souls

Does RCMP stand for policing or criminality? No one should get away with murder! Enough foot dragging. Do something... The World is Watching

It's sad how nobody cared enough to assist him before the goon squad was called in. So this is Canada eh? Pity.

Tasered by 2-3 guns, plus beaten across chest with one electric iron batton. chewed by k9 and beaten by victoria police as 5 officers surrounded me sleeping in church park... I am sorry I had no voice to speak up. I barely survived but if i could have had the guts to speak out the red flag would have already been out and robert may not have been mistreated... i am sorry... I am still scared and worried to use my name

This has been a been a big black mark on Canadas image from the moment the RCMP showed up. The fact that our so called justice system allows this circus to go on without throwing these bums in jail is just embarrassing. The officers will challenge the jurisdiction of the Braidwood Inquiry, one allegedly involved in a fatal crash while DUI, another sues the CBC for causing him "suffering, embarrassment, and public ridicule."? These members of the self proclaimed "best trained police force in the world" are apparently capable of shoveling anything but their accountability, and believing that we are all too stupid to know any better. An absolute disgrace that we are still waiting for justice to be served.

My youngest brother died in-custody of the RCMP in August 2007. I often wonder, if our family was given all evidence or just enough to protect the RCMP. I agree with re-opening the investigation and to appoint an independent special prosecutor. We need to focus and review all evidence.

I am worried about how the RCMP uses force. Imagine yourself in Robert's shoes. In a country where he could not speak the language and when the police came to "help" they didnt try to use a interpreter or try to calm him down using WORDS, they decided he was a threat and in 20 seconds, tasered him. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN CANADA or anywhere in the world. So please reopen the case.

As a recent immigrant to Canada, I was shocked by the RCMP's reluctance to investigate this ghastly occurrence. A special prosecutor is urgently needed.

It is absolutely vital that inexorable corruption within the ranks of our Police force/s, including our Justice System, including our Government - at all levels and sub-levels, need to be effectively dealt with. Let it happen with the Dziekanski tragedy by rallying to do what is right and proper for a change, so that perhaps future improprieties are prevented. The so-called “authority” of our AUTHORITIES MUST be properly held in check. It's high time to be collectively courageous.

These four rcmp officers are a disgrace to all law enforcement officers. They did not take the proper actions in regards to this incident. A interpretur should have been made available long before police arrived to help this poor man.Proper actions were not taken, instead extreme measures were taken wrongfully on the officers part. This is a tragic incident, and all four rcmp officers should be held accountable for their sickening actions. Just minutes after their arrivle they taser the distressed man? He was of no harm to them, but was only frusturated and scared. These officers were obviously not trained and careless. I am sickend to say i am in school for policing. These men give a bad name to all canadians and law enforcement officals. Proper punishment should be given, i am so apauled.

The actions taking by the RCMP were appalling-something definitely wrong with how they are trained or their interpretation of how to carry out their training in response - they appear very eager to exert authority through force and not much use of intellect - certainly assert no compassion or understanding of human rights. This is Absolutely Unacceptable, embarrassing to BCers, and must be rectified to ensure citizens can trust police officers to uphold their rights and allow them respect and dignity.

Only one who personally had an encounter with the "law" enforcement can tell how lying cops can be. Once somebody was "treated" by them will never believe an official story as it comes from the courtroom. If there is no justice for Robert and his mother where everything in this tragedy was filmed and documented and yet the killers are still collecting the wages then Canada will be viewed and presented in the world as the country where people in the uniforms can kill anybody and nothing will be done about it. Shame on every police officer. Shame on Canadian justice system.

I hope to be allowed to add a submission to www.civilrightsmovement.ca to be posted there for all to see, that quite plausably Robert Dziekanski had a Developmental Disability (ADD,etc). Email me at amida@citytel.net and the info I have will be forwarded. So far the Braidwood personel have been silent. It will show the other hidden factors that contributed to his death and why a TASER should NEVER, EVER be administered to some individuals. I am DEADLY SERIOUS! It was his Brain that stopped his Heart, his Breathing, his Life! All because he could not get the simple help he needed to connect with his Mom! Words alone can not adequately describe or colour this scenario, except one thing. Primal Scream! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primal_therapy

I have been greatly disturbed by what happened in the airport in Vancouver that day, as seen on video. It seems that nothing was attempted to be done to defuse the situation & to look at it from the perspective of the victim, who was a stranger in a strange land & did not understand the language.I wouold hate to think that I or someone I loved would be treated in such a manner on visiting another country.

When I watched the video I saw 4 armed cowards attack and kill an unarmed man. Then on the NEWS I saw more RCMP officers lie to cover up this cowardly crime. Legally speaking that makes him an Accessory After the Fact. Truth be known it makes every single RCMP officer Accessories After the Fact, because it is their duty to arrest murderers regardless of the costumes they wore when commiting the crime...Cops or not, they are guilty of Murder. In the END, they shall all stand before the true Judge and JUSTICE shall be served...lies will not save them then...and there will be screaming and gnashing of teeth. your humble servant, ancient clown

The R.C.M.P. have lost all credibility....They can and will get away with murder! I have seen the video many times and it breaks my heart! Was there no one who spoke Polish available to translate? I am worried about the Olympics being held in Vancouver....Who's next? My condolences to Robert's family!
