The Patrick Farm Pond Wetland System must be protected from planned overdevelopment with mandatory 100' buffers.

The Army Corps of Engineers recognizes that the hydrologic unit of waters and wetlands of 14.74 acres. While there are differences between ACOE and NYS DEC delineation these wetlands are close and function as a unit and the water flowing out of the wetlands downstream flows directly to wetlands within 1,000 feet that are on top of and adjacent to United Water public water wells that service all of Rockland County.

The citizens of Rockland County look to the NYS DEC to use its exercise its authority to protect this wetland system by delineating the wetland according to DEC guidelines and then amending the wetland map(s) of Rockland County to include this wetland; if the distance between the wetlands is found to be slightly more than 50 meters please recognize it as a wetland of unusual importance.

We can't stop development but we want to protect what we can protect with your help. This is what your agency was set up to do and we ask that you do so.
