Thank Actress for Saving Research Chimps

"Recently, 110 chimpanzees from the New Iberia Primate Lab were sent to America’s only national chimpanzee sanctuary, Chimp Haven. Their move was due to the tireless efforts of animal rights activists who celebrated when the National Institutes of Health announced that a majority of captive chimps would be permanently released and retired from research labs.

Like many nonprofit organizations, Chimp Haven struggled to raise enough funds to expand its facilities and pay for the care of the new arrivals. To help pick up the slack, actress and director Alison Eastwood, daughter of the legendary Clint Eastwood, began raising money to help the sanctuary.

Alison is raising $50,000 for continuing chimp care, and 100 percent of donations will go towards giving medical research chimps a better life in retirement. After witnessing the horrific situations that animals were placed in across the country while directing her Nat Geo Wild show, she started her own nonprofit, the Eastwood Ranch Foundation.

Sign the below petition to thank Alison Eastwood for using her celebrity status to help raise funds and awareness for retired lab chimps in need of medical care and kindness. Encourage Alison to continue reaching out to her network to promote this and other animal rights cases into the future."
