Charlie Deserves a Chance to Live

Sign the petition!

Charlie deserves a chance to live because he has no history of violence or dangerous activity. While Charlie and his owner were enjoying their right to the unleashed pet area, a park police horse entered their area. Charlie is a sweet loving domestic animal that was spooked by the horse, having never seen one before. The dog owner and many people believe that it wasn't the owner nor the dog's fault that Park Police entered an area designated for off-leash animals. We plead that you save Charlie and allow him to live!

You can help save Charlie by signing the petition. Charlie is a 1.6 year old American Staffordshire Terrier who was in an un-leashed area of San Francisco's Crissy Field. Charlie bit a police horse and caused a light injury after some barking because he seemed afraid of the horse. The horse and the mounted park police man have already returned to service.

If you support the ethical treatment of animals, please sign this petition.

The Park Police have issued statements that they want Charlie euthanized or put to sleep on Tuesday August 28th, 2012.

Animal control has agreed with the Park Police and have scheduled Charlie to be put to sleep.
