Sea World's Thanksgiving Day float is simply a gimmic to increase park visitors and revenue all in the guise of inspiring and educating the public about sea life. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined Sea World Orlando $38,000 and labeled the park a repeat offender, b/c they continue to operate a workplace that can "cause death or serious physical harm to employees." The fine, comes amid a 3 year battle between OSHA and SW after a senior trainer was dismembered in 2010. SW is not what it seems....the orca in it's collection are imprisoned and exploited for human entertainment, with no regard for their emotional or cultural needs. This float should be eliminated from the parade as it stands for a dangerous enviornment for both whales and trainers.
