End the Stigma on Mental Illness for the Young Generation

My generation of young people has been rocked by the massive spike in mental illnesses that has become a staple of the generation. 8.2% of Canadians aged 15-24 face some sort of mental illness or substance dependence. other age groups don't even crest 2%. millions of youth in Canada are facing this battle surrounded by the stigma of mental illness, and are seen less as people, and more as the illness itself. We need to learn more about our current plight, and the easiest way to do so is by introducing it into the school system. Our schools already have a class meant to deal with social injustices, the Social Justice class. However, it does not touch on the topic of mental illness in any way. This is what needs to change. With your help, this petition could show the current provincial government that we are in desperate need of change, and that this is the best way to go about it
