Crestwood Subdivision needs a Neighborhood Watch

In the past year, Crestwood has been plagued with a string brazen burglaries. For the most part, they have been little more than the all-to-common "smash and grabs". The severity of these crimes or, rather the lack thereof, makes them no less wrong or forgivable. It is the complacency and a false sense of security of residents that makes them easy targets. This coupled with a lack of neighborhood security spells out a scenario that seems to bode well with the local riff-raff. Even though many of the residents have invested in hi-tech security systems, many of which have hi-resolution surveillance cameras, this does nothing to thwart the criminal activities which pose a threat to our neighborhood. We, as residents, need to take action against those who wish to do wrong. This is our neighborhood! These people are coming on to OUR property! Breaking into OUR vehicles and stealing OUR belongings which we have worked hard to earn! I feel that it is imperative that we, the residents of Crestwood, organize a neighborhood watch committee. Although all positions of said committee are voluntary, I am asking that the funding for this committee be paid for by the Crestwood HOA. The following items are needed immediately once the committee for the neighborhood watch program is formed:
1: Road legal golf cart (or other electric vehicle) outfitted with weather protection features.
2: High Visibility vests
3: High powered flashlights
4: Multi band radios

I know that we are all fed up with these invasions that leave all of those affected feeling violated. Please join me in an effort to putting a stop to this. I know that this won't put a stop to crime but evil likes to work in the shadows. All we have to do is make our presence known. Let's shine some lights on the roaches and watch them scatter!
