"The North American River Otters are once again the victims of pollution and a shrinking habitat. Several years ago, thanks in part to the Clean Water Act (CWA), these playful creatures were making a comeback, with populations slowly rebounding across the country. Recently however, Supreme Court rulings have questioned whether the small streams and wetlands the otters call home are protected under the CWA. Without this protection, these interconnected waterways, some 2 million miles of streams and approximately 20 million acres of wetlands are at risk for pollution that could harm wildlife, and potentially end up in our drinking water.
Please protect our water, before any more damage is done. Thank you."
