Stop Using Plastic Rods in Cotton Buds!

Please could companies like Dove who make cotton buds with plastic reconsider the impact of those little plastic sticks or rods on the environment. The picture of a sea horse drifting in the ocean attached to a plastic cotton bud is so sad and says it all. Surely a biodegradable cardboard or bamboo type stick could be used, instead of filling our oceans and landfills with non-biodegradable plastic? Dove has been very vocal in supporting women and about the air-brushing of photos in magazines and adverts that try to sell an image of a woman that is not natural or attainable. How about being vocal about the rights of our planet and our fellow creatures that we share the planet with? How about playing a major role in ending the scourge of plastic pollution? The UK is banning plastic cotton buds altogether from 2020. Come on Dove, stop using Plastic in your cotton buds!
