Stop the destruction of our Countryside , Now !

Local authorities throughout the UK are allowing large-scale development on area's of open countryside and prime agricultural land. Developers and landowners are having a feeding frenzy at the expense of local communities and the natural landscape of our treasured countryside is being lost forever. The data used to support these policies were formed by Central Government in a pre - Brexit Britain. In the summer of 2017, Britain had a referendum which has changed the direction of this country beyond all recognition. As such the data that supported these planning policies need to be urgently reconsidered. Agricultural land assets must be protected from any developments as this country will need to start expanding its agricultural industry post -Brexit to produce food for its own population as well as to sell globally. If our agricultural land is sold off for short-term profits it will be gone forever and so will our ability to become independent from buying food from EU countries who may apply punitive tariffs making it increasingly expensive. The political landscape has changed materially and this now needs to be reflected in our long-term planning policies.
