The Salish Sea's southern resident orca whales are facing imminent extinction due to lack of food and contaminted waters. Boat noise and disturbance obstructs their ability to forage for scarce food as well as their ability to navigate and communicate. The Southern Residents need quiet undisturbed waters right now if they are to survive until salmon can be restored and waters c;leaned up. The Legislature in Olympia, WA is now considering House and Senate Bills to protect the orcas from noise and disturbance. Extinction is forever.
