We, the people of your Country, request you to stop the mass killing of our stray dogs.
The "catch and Kill" policy has NOT worked in the past… and WILL NOT work…
All this will ONLY lead to thousands of brutally caught and killed animals... and millions of tax payers’ money gone waste.
The world will view US..PEOPLE OF MAURITIUS..as heartless creatures devoid of Compassion..
As rightly stated by Gandhi The Mahatma: “"The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
We thus appeal to your Government not to go ahead with the MASS MURDERING of our strays and ask you to rather invest that money in creating shelters and rescue groups for animals, and to tighten the law concerning animal abuse to bring it into conformity with European standards.
We demand the Government to protect and respect homeless animals rights, just as it happens in other civilized countries.
