We need your help to let our City Council know how many of you LOVE the wacky charitable events that Home Slice Pizza hosts twice a year. These events not only help great causes but also help make South Congress the wonderfully special neighborhood it is.
Your signature will tell City Council that you support Home Slice Pizza's Outdoor Music Venue Permit. This permit has been granted to us by the city’s music department but is being appealed by just a few people from the surrounding neighborhood.
The events we host are:
•The Carnival O Pizza - a backyard carnival that has raised over $58 thousand dollars in the six years we have hosted it, including over $20k for Austin Bat Cave in 2012.Other beneficiaries have included Keep Austin Beautiful, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Austin Pets Alive and Young Texans Against Cancer.
•Music by The Slice - a day-time music party during SXSW, the proceeds from which are donated to charity. In the 7 years of this event, we have raised over 25k for Urban Roots and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
If you support this cause, please let us know by the morning of August 2nd as our appeal is being heard that afternoon.
I, the undersigned am in support of Home Slice Pizza keeping their Outdoor Music Venue permit

we signed: Support Live Music Charity Events at Home Slice Pizza
We did it!
City Council denied the appeal! Victory for live music events on South Congress! Thank you so much for all of your support and all of the encouraging comments! We had over 1000 signatures! Each one made a huge difference. Since the appeal was denied, we now have the ability to continue supporting local charities with Carnival O Pizza, Music By The Slice and 4 other small events.
Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
