Cedar ward stroke rehabilitation at the county hospital is to cease from the end of August 2015. A ward with an excellent reputation for stroke care and rehabilitation. Stroke services are to be centralised at the Royal Gwent hospital, for stabilisation up to a week, then moved to either Saint Woolas, Nevill HAll or Ystrad Mynach for further rehabilitation up to 7 weeks before being sent home with a package of care.
