Move The Mound

The Mechanic Street Wastewater/Sewer Discharge Mound is a structure the Town of Easton built on the privately owner and Historic Gov Ames Estate. It is located on the shores of Shovel Shop Pond and the banks of the Mighty Queset. Town Officials approved the location and design, thus destroying one of the most beautiful vistas in Easton and causing potential harm to our already fragile water supply.
For the good of the public health, the integrity of our Historic District and to repair the Town's relationship with the Trustees of Reservations, let's Move The Mound.
Let your voice be heard.

Dear Town of Easton Board of Selectmen and Sewer Commissioners,

The Mechanic Street wastewater/sewer discharge structure was placed in an environmentally sensitive area next the Shovel Shop Pond and on the banks of Queset Brook. The structure is also in the heart of the Historic District and it destroyed one of the most beautiful vistas in Easton.

We the people, would request that this system structure, which came in significantly under budget, be removed from the privately owned Gov. Ames Estate and relocated to a new location that would have less of a negative environmental and visual impact. Truly, this is what is best for Easton.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

We The People

Easton, Massachusetts.
