Disband the partisan Benghazi committee now!

Seven previous committees have found no wrong-doing from Hillary Clinton regarding the 2012 Benghazi attack - but Select Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy still wants his scalp, no matter how much taxpayer money it takes.

The Republican goal here isn't justice: It's political victory. That's why the committee has expanded beyond Benghazi to Clinton's emails - just like Kent Starr, investigating Bill Clinton in the 1990s, expanded from Whitewater to Monica Lewinsky. What's more, several party leaders have admitted the committee's political nature:

"Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping." - House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)

"I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton." - Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY)

"If you think those guys, those Republicans on that panel don't want to bring down Hillary Clinton, you're six-years-old. Because they do. So it is political." - Bill O'Reilly, Fox News

Even a former committee staffer - a major in the Air Force - says he was punished for investigating Benghazi instead of attacking Hillary Clinton.

Enough is enough! Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) is right: This panel is a massive waste of money, and must end. Tell the House leadership: Stop the political charade! Disband the wasteful Benghazi committee at once!

Reps. Kevin McCarthy and Richard Hanna have admitted what most Americans already know: The eighth Benghazi committee is a naked political scam, designed not to investigate the truth but to waste taxpayer dollars in an attack on one politician.

Disband the committee at once!
