The recent incident showed the facility being diagnosed with various diseases that affected many of the animals and the employees.
The story comes from Wynnewood, Oklahoma regarding the Garold Wayne Interactive Zoological Park (G.W. Zoo) where it was discovered that many of the animals and employees of the facility contracted tuberculosis and brucellosis. Those affected had to be quarantined as directed by the Oklahoma State Veterinarian Dr. Rod Hall and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). If not kept in quarantine, other animals and unsuspecting guests at the park.
This outbreak at the zoo run by Mr. Joe Schreibvogel adds to his long time history, according to reports that he has little regard for his employees and the animals he imprisons at this facility. Some believe that the diseases may have come from the dead carcasses of deer and other prey that he feeds his carnivores, as reported by PETA. The official from PETA stated that “By putting those around him at risk for the sake of a few dollars, Schreibvogel has shown once again that he cares as little about his employees and visitors as he does about the animals he imprisons, and PETA is warning everyone to stay far away from his facility.”
This is just another instance of continuing abuse and violations on the part of Mr. Schreibvogel. Other investigations involve past deaths of two tiger cubs in 2013, another for the demise of 23 baby tigers, along with other suspected animal deaths throughout a seven month period. With his continual violations and disregard for the animals in this roadside zoo, we are working to get the facility permanently closed and the operator facing several felony counts of animal abuse and cruelty. Law Enforcement & Wildlife Government Officials in Wynnewood, Oklahoma - You need to work closely with the PETA organization in an effort to shut down the Garold Wayne Interactive Zoological Park (G.W. Zoo) and prosecute the owner/operator, Mr. Joe Schreibvogel for numerous and continual history of animal abuse and cruelty. He has no regard for not only the animals he imprisons in this zoo but also the employees who work under him. Shut him down and save the animals from his abusive hands while ensuring he is harshly charged and sentenced with several counts of felony animal cruelty. Additionally, ensure he never works with, owns or cares for any other animals for the rest of his life. Be a voice for the many animals without one who have suffered under his care!
