Urge Clark County officials to enforce the mandatory spay/neuter law and shut down the breeders !

Spaying and Neutering are humane and life affirming means of ending euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets.  This will assist in educating pet owners to be more responsible, making our streets safer, reducing the number of animals killed each year in our animal care centers, and allowing us to more effectively use our resources. The spay/neuter law is a  tool for Animal Services to hold accountable those pet owners whose irresponsibility threatens public safety and fills our animal care centers with unwanted dogs and cats.

Las Vegas, Nevada city council has passed an ordinance requiring residents as of April 1, 2010 to spay/neuter their dogs and cats 4 months of age or older who reside in Clark County, Nevada. In North Las Vegas, this was passed in 2008. Enough excuses ! Breeders need to stop manufacturing puppies!
As tax payers, we insist the Animal Control to enforce the law!

Primary Targets:
    Breeders advertising in Clark County
Pets being transported to Clark County
Puppy stores - selling unaltered pets

The fines, already in place, although not enforced, must be mandatory !A violation is a misdemeanor with fines up to $225 for the first offense. $500 for the second offense. $1,000 for the third and subsequent offenses.
