Tell the UK to Increase Efforts to Help Trafficking Victims!

Thousands of people have been trafficked to the UK and held as human slaves over the past year. Compared to 2012, victims have increased 22 percent, according to statistics from the National Crime Agency (NCA).

Last year saw 2,744 victims from over 86 countries, and 602 of these were children. Most of these victims came from Romania and were sexually exploited. Poland was the most likely source of labor trafficking victims.

The UK Home Office proposed a new Modern Slavery Bill that would increase maximum jail time for traffickers from 14 years to life, and would increase compensation to victims. If passed, this bill would help reduce trafficking crime and ease victims' transitions back to normal life. Please sign the petition to urge UK Legislators to pass this bill and help put an end to human trafficking!

We, the undersigned, are concerned about the increase of human trafficking in the UK.
