You are starving our children

Our children are our future, our pride and joy.  Yet we send them to public schools and allow them to go hungry. In this great country, there is no excuse for a child to sit in a public building and be expected to perform at their best academically, when their minds are focused on how hungry they are. How can we, in good conscience, allow this to continue when it is so easily solved? In allowing government officials to dictate to us a "more nutritious", "more health conscious" meal plan, we are allowing our children to know something no child should ever know: hunger.
