Allow us to Keep our Shed Storing our Baby Sons Vital Medical Supplies

We are shocked after we have been told we can't keep our garden shed that is vital to the care of our baby son.

The shed is used to store important medical supplies so that we can continue to give Joseph, our son, the dialysis treatment he needs at home. Joseph may not be able to live with us after the council voted against granting us retrospective permission for the shed in our front garden.

Joseph was born four weeks premature and has needed dialysis since he was one day old. He suffers from autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease - a rare condition which causes abnormal development of the lungs, liver and kidney.

District planning officers had recommended that planning approval for the shed be granted, stating that it would not "result in any demonstrable harm to visual or residential amenity".

But councillors at the Area South committee meeting voted against granting permission.

We would like to thank all that are supporting us and we are preparing to appeal against the decision so that we can continue to give Joseph the vital care he needs at home. We would like to get a petition going to help us get the decision we need to be able to carry on doing what we do. We need your support, your signature shows this and really does go a long way.
