Vote NO on Bill to Release Rape Reports Without Consent!

Female lawmakers in Delaware introduced a bill that would require universities to release rape reports to police without victims' consent. This means that university employees, with the exception of sexual assault victim advocates, professional counselors and clergy, would be required by law to report rapes to the Department of Justice and police agencies.

Victims do not support this proposed legislation. Almost nine out of ten rape survivors agree that fewer victims will come forward if they know rape reports will be released to the police. In cases like these, rape survivors' wishes should take priority over everything else.

Please sign the petition to urge Delaware legislators to respect rape survivors and their privacy, and to vote no on legislation that would require universities to release rape reports to police without consent!
