Demand an End to Outrageous Overnight Parking Taxation

  • by: Chris Mozzini
  • recipient: Mayor Joseph A. Sandoro, Mayor of Glendora City

In the city of Glendora, CA residents are required to pay $5 a night to park cars they own on the street in front of their own homes. Residents are required to pay this tax to park between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Should a resident, or a guest of a resident, unknowingly, or otherwise, not pay this $5 fee, Parking Enforcement Officers will leave a ticket for the owner to the amount of $51. Any recipient of such a ticket faces possible impoundment of their vehicle, or incarceration should they not have the funds to pay for the ticket.

We are attempting to get this law repealed, as it places a heavy tax ($100 a month, or $146 if one night not paid) on residents that may not necessarily have the funds to pay for such a high tax.
