Benny Valdez - disgusting human being! Looks like he never missed a meal! He could feed himself but left those poor dogues without food and water! He's worse than the scum of the earth!
"This is the worst one I’ve seen in my experience."
State Police Captain Michael Tietz says dogs were found both outside in kennels, and inside the house.

UPDATE 6:40AM -- A representative from the Fulton County Jail tells us Bentley Valdez has been released on 25 hundred dollars bail.

STRATFORD -- "I could actually smell it, it just smelled like death."
Town of Stratford Dog Control Officer Karen Jaquay says she was shocked to find 22 abandoned dogs at a Stratford home -- she says 13 were emaciated and nine were dead.
"I saw the dogs in bad condition but I didn't see the other ones because I didn't feel I should be walking on someone else's property,” Jaquay said.
That's when she called state police.
"This is the worst one I’ve seen in my experience."
State Police Captain Michael Tietz says dogs were found both outside in kennels, and inside the house.
"Every single dish in the kennels and crates were empty and there was certainly no food, we actually observed some dogs trying to chew on rocks,” Tietz said.
Police say they have spoken with the dogs' owner -- Bentley A. Valdez. They say it looks like he only lives at the home part time -- and has another address in Staten Island.
"It's like having a child, you're obligated to care for these animals, they are your responsibility,” Jaquay said.
But she says this isn’t her first visit to the home -- she says she came to Valdez at the end of last summer because the dogs weren’t licensed. Jaquay says Valdez fixed that, and the dogs were in good shape at the time. But she says she hadn't checked back at the home since December -- and things drastically changed.
I see a man that has lost a little bit of touch with reality of what he can do for these animals and what he actually is doing,” Jaquay said,
The surviving dogs were brought over to the Brennan Humane Society. They tell us one is at the vet, the others scared and recovering from neglect likely lasting a number of months.
"Whether they died of malnourishment or exposure, they died an unnecessarily painful death and it should not have happened,” Tietz said.
