we've got signatures, help us get to 1,000 by February 2, 2014
Johnny has been released to a sanctuary in Sumatra today. He is on his way to his new life in a new enclosure where he will be able to walk on the ground, climb and do what bears should do. He has been rescued by Chanee Kawaleit a man passionate about rescuing Gibbons and SunBears. Thank you to all those people who wanted Johnny free.
Johnny the Sun Bear has been confined in a tiny cage for over three years at the office of the Conservation Department in Sumatra. They said they would allow us to build him an enclosure on a nearby block of land. We have the funds to start this. We have given them our proposal but they will not get this signed. Everyday Johnny suffers whilst they do not act.
